Our Goal

With any church growth program, there are many required steps to make your project a success. Our goal is to oversee this complicated process and keep you informed along the way. Depending on the church and its specific needs, the process and steps will look different for each. Here is a snapshot of our church architectural process.

Church Design Process

Initial Programming Meeting

Our first step is to facilitate a programming meeting. During this meeting, we will provide a question/answer session with your stakeholders to create the architectural program for the project. During the week following the programming meeting, you will receive a confirmation notice outlining all the information gathered to ensure that your ministry needs and desires are included.

Master Plan

All information obtained during the initial programming meeting will be used as a resource in creating an initial master plan design concept, which will include a detailed church floor plan and budget for each development phase. You will then be given the opportunity to thoroughly review and develop questions and comments for our design team. These will be vetted and incorporated into the design until we arrive at a final approved plan.

Cost Evaluation

After the master plan is approved, a cost evaluation will then be provided often with the assistance of the Construction Manager. Correlation of the available budget will be compared with the cost estimate and a plan for phasing will be recommended if necessary.

Construction

Once construction begins, we remain as your representative through the build phase overseeing submittal reviews, construction progress meetings, requests for information (RFI’s), architectural supplemental instructions (ASI’s), construction pay applications, and other similar services. All project documentation resides on our project website for access by all stakeholders.

Final Review

Our job is not finished when the construction is complete. It is our highest priority to see your project through to the end and make sure there are no concerns. We make our punch list walkthrough to inspect your new build with a fine tooth comb. Whether it's a ding in the paint or an incorrect fixture, this is where we will triple check to see if it passes our stringent checklist.

Some Added Benefits to Working with Space

We love all churches and are always looking for ways to serve them. Here are a few additional benefits you get when working with us.

Principal Representation

From our first conversation through the opening day of your new facility, one of the principals will personally oversee your project. We will be there if we need to be on-site for any reason once the project has begun. This ensures that everything keeps moving at the pace it needs to.

Team Approach

We work alongside your team with your church’s success as the goal. This means we make quick and clear communication a top priority. Dedicated involvement allows us to make mid-course corrections to avoid financial or delay issues along the way. We are your representative throughout the entire process. We will be the eyes and ears needed to review, communicate, and approve everything requested to keep the job moving.

Project Accuracy

We understand the potential consequences of poor budgeting and faulty scheduling estimates. We dedicate ourselves to building accurate project estimates in the beginning and fact-checking them throughout the life of the project. Accurate budgets are created by utilizing real-world, completed project cost data from projects nationwide

“No-Strings” Access

Whether you're considering starting your church construction project next week or next year, we're here to help. Our mission is to see the lost come to Christ, and whether we are your architects or simply your friends, we are here to help assist you in your mission!
